Come celebrate World Pride with GMCW!

COME SING WITH THE 1,000-VOICE INTERNATIONAL L.O.V.E. CHORUS
You are invited to join hundreds of singers from around the world to join GMCW to form the League of Voices for Equality (L.O.V.E.) Chorus and sing on the National Mall during World Pride’s closing weekend, June 7-8, 2025. With the goal of over one thousand voices, together we’ll raise our voices for equality in our nation’s capital! Music will be distributed in advance, all voice parts are welcome. International Choral Festival

The Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC will be the anchor of the arts and culture calendar during WorldPride DC 2025. Each day of World Pride (May 23-June 8, 2025), the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC (GMCW) will present a 45-minute pop-up choral performance that include ensembles of GMCW (Potomac Fever, Rock Creek Singers, Seasons of Love, GenOUT Youth Chorus, and 17th Street Dance) and several other GALA choruses from around the country. Venues under consideration include the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, Epiphany Church, St Thomas Church, Live at 10th & G, National City Church, and Sixth & I. Additionally, GMCW will present John Buccino’s A Peacock Among Pigeons on this city-wide tour, as well as the premiere of the newest installation of Portraits, featuring art, music, and choreography by trans and nonbinary artists.

To date, the following choruses have expressed interest in participating in the International Choral Festival: Atlanta Women’s Chorus, Common Woman Chorus (Raleigh, NC), Lavender Light Gospel Choir (NYC), New Wave Singers of Baltimore, New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, and the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus.

Each day of World Pride, GMCW will present a pop-up choral performance that includes ensembles of GMCW and visiting choruses from around the world! Venues include the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, the Library of Congress, Smithsonian museums, area theaters, and more!
