International Choral Festival
The Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC will be the anchor of the arts and culture calendar during WorldPride DC 2025. Each day of World Pride (May 23-June 8, 2025), the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington, DC will present a pop-up choral performance that includes ensembles of GMCW (Potomac Fever, Rock Creek Singers, Seasons of Love, GenOUT Youth Chorus, and 17th Street Dance) and other choruses and ensembles from around the country. Venues currently include the Atlas Performing Arts Center, Woolly Mammoth, Shakespeare Theatre, Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, Howard Theatre, Union Market, Epiphany Church, St Thomas’ Parish, Live at 10th & G, National City Church, and Sixth & I, among others. Additionally, GMCW will present the area premiere of John Bucchino’s A Peacock Among Pigeons at certain venues on this city-wide tour.
To date, the following choruses and groups are planning to participate in the International Choral Festival: Asian Rainbow Chorus (NYC), Central Maryland Rainbow Chorus, Lavender Light Gospel Choir (NYC), New Wave Singers of Baltimore, New York City Gay Men’s Chorus, Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus, Gay Men’s Chorus of Charlotte, Hartford Gay Men’s Chorus, Major Minors (LGBTQ+ and allied youth chorus from TN), National Flute Association LGBTQ+ Flute Choir, Richmond Allied Voices Treble Chorus, Triangle Men’s Chorus (Raleigh, NC), and the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus. Venues include the Atlas Performing Arts Center, Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, Woolly Mammoth, Howard Theatre, many area churches, and more!
